We partnered with Visit Lewis Clark Valley and Visit North Central Idaho to create a combined visitor guide for the region. Northwest Media served as creative director for this exciting new project. Our branding team developed the editorial layout and magazine style for this issue, which combined elements from both clients. We were honored to design the first combined visitor guide. Targeted at regional visitors, our clients asked for a photo driven, visually enhanced piece that would reflect the varied, year-round outdoor recreation our region has to offer. We delivered.

Setting the Editorial Style

After meeting and creating the concept with our clients, we moved forward with the editorial style of the visitor guide. To continue with the branding set forth with Visit Lewis Clark Valley, we combined a friendly handwritten font in the heading with a modern, easy-to-read sans serif body copy. Our color story speaks to both region's branding and divides the magazine sections by activity, making it easy to follow.

A Sense of Place

The guide's content is enhanced by the use of a navigation map for each section, giving the reader a sense of place and proximity and keeping featured activities highlighted. We designed a number-coded map for each section that can be used to visually navigate the region based on which activity or adventure they are seeking.
